Unlike traditional education nonprofits that focus on a single program or institution, READY works across the entire education ecosystem, investing in school growth, developing educators and school leaders, empowering families, and advancing supportive policy.
By combining deep local relationships with national philanthropic partnerships, READY serves as a catalyst and capital multiplier, attracting new resources to Rochester and directing them toward the highest-impact opportunities for students.
Through this ecosystem-wide strategy, READY is committed to increasing the number of students enrolled in quality schools from approximately 3,000 today to 10,000 by 2034.
READY invests in proven pathways to expand access to quality schools while cultivating the conditions those schools need to succeed: growing existing high-performing schools, recruiting successful school operators, supporting educators in launching new schools that meet community needs, and seeding improvement in promising schools and leaders.
