We have one focus:
In order to achieve systemic change, we need strategic initiatives.
Our strategic initiatives advance our mission by activating informed families, cultivating highly effective talent, promoting supportive policies, and launching and sustaining innovative schools that Rochester’s students & families want and need.
A fellowship for local educators to pilot new programs and forward-thinking school models toward success.
The Incubator offers comprehensive support for innovative, equity-driven educators, and was created in response to READY’s pledge to continuously engage communities to advance educational outcomes for Rochester’s children. It will feature two programs:
Design Studio, a part-time program for early-stage entrepreneurs to design and launch pilots for a new school model & Launch, a full-time opportunity for leaders ready to start a promising new school.
A pipeline for high school students to become teachers.
The READY Teaching Academy (RTA) is a years-long afterschool and summer program designed to strengthen high school students’ cultural identities, explore their career interests, and build community with peers.
Through RTA, we are not just preparing educators; we are cultivating a new generation of leaders who are dedicated to reimagining and rewriting the narrative of education in Rochester.
An eight-month fellowship designed to empower parents with school-age children in Rochester public schools as advocates and leaders in education.
